Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 2026

This is the Shadowrocket website and user manual. This policy explains how data is handled when you visit shadow-setup.com and what controls are available in your browser. It applies to this website and does not replace the app’s or App Store’s privacy or purchase terms.

1. Scope and Service Boundaries

This site uses static pages to provide authenticity checks, purchase information, setup instructions, and troubleshooting guidance. It has no account registration, email collection, or subscription forms. You can read the manual without submitting personal information.

This site does not provide, sell, or recommend proxy servers or subscriptions. Tutorials assume that you already have your own subscription or server details. A one-time client purchase is not a service plan. App configuration and connection activity are separate from website visits; this policy should not be taken as a description of how the app handles data.

2. Visit Data and Analytics

When you visit a page, the hosting service may log the request time, page path, response status, IP address, browser type, and referral information. This technical data is used to deliver pages, detect unusual requests, and troubleshoot access issues. It is not information you submit directly.

We use analytics to understand page views, device types, referral sources, and navigation patterns so we can improve the manual. When clicked, the App Store button in the download guide records an outbound store-link event. This records a click, not a completed purchase or installation.

Analytics records are not intended to contain subscription URLs, server passwords, or payment details. Do not include this information in query parameters on links to this site, as it may be captured in technical logs with the request.

3. Cookies and Local Storage

A static website may still use cookies during a visit. Whether analytics components set identifier cookies depends on the deployed configuration and browser restrictions. If enabled, these identifiers help recognize a visit session or repeat visits; they are not App Store sign-in credentials.

Language selection uses page links, and section navigation uses URL fragments. Local storage is separate from cookies, and browser caches may also retain static assets. These mechanisms should not be used to store server details or subscription credentials.

You can restrict cookies, clear this site's data, or use content-blocking features in your browser settings. Clearing data may affect visit recognition; blocking scripts may affect analytics and navigation interactions, but the page content remains available to read.

4. External App Store Links

Shadowrocket is available only on Apple platforms. The only way to get it is through the App Store product page, which is operated by Apple. After you leave this site, store access, account sign-in, payments, and purchase records are governed by Apple's applicable terms and privacy policies.

This site does not process payments or collect store account passwords or complete payment details. Clicking an external link may send browser request information to the destination; whether referral information is included depends on your browser and applicable policies. Check the App Store page for device compatibility and system requirements.

5. Data Protection and Your Choices

Visit data should be used only to operate the site, investigate security issues, and improve its content. Technical logs and analytics records are not part of the public manual. Retention periods may vary depending on the hosting environment, analytics configuration, and troubleshooting needs; this page does not promise an unverified fixed period.

You can stop visiting the site, restrict analytics scripts, or clear website data in your browser. Clearing local data does not automatically delete records already created on the server. This site has no account data download or account deletion process. Before reporting an issue, remove passwords, subscription URLs, and other sensitive information from screenshots and text.

6. Policy Updates and Further Information

If data handling, analytics, or page functionality changes, this policy will be updated on this page and the “Last updated” month at the top will change. The revised text describes the website's current data practices. If a new purpose for data processing is introduced, it will be explained before the relevant feature is enabled.

For reading or setup questions, see Troubleshooting or the User Manual and follow the relevant steps. These pages provide public guidance and are not channels for submitting personal information. For purchase or store account issues, use the help options in the App Store.
